Let me share a little bit about my journey…
I arrived in Dubai back in August 2014, armed with just a one-way ticket, two suitcases, and a dream to see the world with Emirates Airlines. I told my parents it would be just one airline contract and I’d be back in Manchester within three years. Yet here I am, a decade later — still not holding that return ticket! (Let’s be honest, Manchester’s rain isn’t exactly calling my name.)
From Cabin Crew to Content Creator
My passion for writing sparked while I was traveling the globe, leading to my very first blog: The Brunette Ambition. Since then, a lot has changed (including my hair color!), but one thing remains the same — my love for creating engaging content.
Over the years, I’ve:
Created Instagram content for a boutique ladies' fitness studio
Qualified as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor
Developed copy and content for a high-end automotive brand in Dubai
Leading Content at a Tech Start-Up
For the past 18 months, I’ve worked as the Content and Marketing Lead at Discovered MENA, a tech talent solutions start-up in Dubai. During this time, I’ve:
Grown the company’s LinkedIn following to over 250K (87K in the last year alone!)
Written 40+ blogs for their website
Launched and managed platforms like TikTok, LinkedIn newsletters (60K+ subscribers), and email campaigns
Led SEO efforts and event marketing
Produced diverse content including video, blogs, and strategy-focused assets
